FT.com / Telecoms - UK mobile phone groups launch ads tie-up

The UK’s leading mobile phone operators have launched a belated initiative to try to stop Apple and Google securing the lion’s share of revenue generated from advertising on handsets.
Everything Everywhere, O2 and Vodafone on Thursday announced plans to form a joint venture to exploit opportunities in what are expected to be fast-growing markets of mobile advertising and commerce.
