FT.com / Media - Finland’s Sanoma in cross-promotion strategy

Scandinavian media companies have emerged faster from the downturn than those in other parts of Europe thanks to resilient domestic economies and customers who are technologically savvy and well-served by advanced broadband infrastructure.

But as they exploit that fightback to bolster themselves against the structural challenges of the internet age, two Nordic companies with international outlooks have adopted different strategies to deploy capital.
