Profit and Ad Revenue Fall at Gannett - New York Times

Gannett reported on Monday a severe decline in advertising revenue at its newspaper division in the third quarter, pointing to a pullback in consumer and business spending.

The company met Wall Street’s revenue and profit expectations, but shares fell 8.7 percent on concerns about its deteriorating newspaper business and its ability to keep cutting costs.
