Now they can be. Internet TV start-up AdRise is launching an advertising platform for set-top boxes such as Roku and Boxee, along with Internet-connected TVs. Not only will AdRise insert advertising into environments where there was none before, but it will make that advertising measurable in a way that TV ads have not been in the past.
