Mediaset, Silvio Berlusconi’s media group, told investors on Tuesday that advertising was slowing in the first half of this year, but it held out hope of improved growth later in the year.
The fourth-largest media company in Europe by revenue said: “In Italy, advertising investments in the first months of 2011 continued to feel the effect of the progressive slowdown that characterized the final months of last year.”
